Chicago Rock Group and Fashion Designer Team Up to Showcase Women in Art

StereoViolet

Chicago-based alternative-rock band StereoViolet and American fashion designer Anastasia Chatzka have teamed up with artist development company, The Wrecking Co., to host a one-time music, fashion and visual art show aimed at highlighting female contributions in music, art, fashion, and design.

The event will be held upstairs at Subterranean, Chicago, on August 23, 2017, and will feature live musical performances by female-led artists StereoViolet and DoubleSpeak as well as a runway fashion show and pop-up boutique featuring original fashion designs by Anastasia Chatzka.

"We really wanted to showcase the contributions of strong females in the fields of music, art and fashion, and couldn't think of a better way to do this than by throwing an event that combines all these worlds into one.

Ronen Morris, Co-Founder | The Wrecking Co.

The event will also feature visual art and projection displays by O’REN BLACK, a design and visual art company founded by StereoViolet vocalist, Bianca B. Black, dance routines by Jac and the Moe-ettes, and plenty of free, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind goodies as well as opportunities to take photos with the fashion models.  Further complimenting the night will be live sets by DJ Pauly and visual art displays by Jonny Urban.
