Center & Main Market Expands Event Offerings for Seville Bicentennial

The Center & Main Market pairs handmade vendors from across northeast Ohio with vintage vendors, artists, food trucks and more in a family-friendly outdoor event July 23rd.

On Saturday July 23rd from 10-5:00, Center & Main Market brings handmade vendors from across northeast Ohio together with vintage vendors, artists, food trucks and more in a family-friendly outdoor event.

Center & Main, currently in its second year, is part of Seville’s bicentennial celebrations. Long known for its unique shops, particularly antique and vintage-focused, Seville has a tradition of unique outdoor vending events, including the “World’s Largest Yard Sale” hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, which recently took place in June.

"As an artist who has done shows with both Cleveland Bazaar and Crafty Mart, I knew Shannon and Brit could bring fresh new talent to Center & Main and expand the event's reach. Seville is a hidden gem in Medina County, and we would love to see more people come and explore what we have to offer during our bicentennial celebrations."

Jenean Sustarsic, Owner, The Studios Upstairs

For 2016, the festival committee, which includes local craft-focused business owners such as Shell Venus of Funky Junk Boutique, Jane Webb of Seville Flower and Jenean Sustarsic of The Studios Upstairs, brought in longtime handmade event coordinators from Akron’s Crafty Mart and from Cleveland Bazaar to expand Center & Main’s vendor base.

“As an artist who has done shows with both Cleveland Bazaar and Crafty Mart, I knew Shannon and Brit could bring fresh new talent to Center & Main and expand the event’s reach. Seville is a hidden gem in Medina County, and we would love to see more people come and explore what we have to offer during our bicentennial celebrations,” says Sustarsic.

More than fifty handmade vendors featuring everything from wooden robots to handcrafted tea, jewelry, clothing and home goods will be concentrated around the main intersection in Seville. Crafty Mart will sponsor a beer garden featuring local brews from Lager Heads, and a parade on Main Street will kick off the bicentennial portion of the celebration at 11:00 a.m.
