Praia Urbana, which means urban beach in Portuguese, is an underground electronic music festival that began in the heart of Downtown Houston, Texas. In May of 2006, local Houston DJs and Praia Urbana founders Alex Clavijo, Bobby Blyss and Steven Towers got together to give Houston its first Praia Urbana. This year Praia is celebrating its 10th-year anniversary series.
Houston, Texas, March 6, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Praia Urbana Music Festival is turning 10 this year, and will celebrate by presenting its 10-Year Anniversary Series in Houston. The series’ opening party will be held at Last Concert Café on April 2, 2016, and will bring great international talent to the table, such as German DJ Butch, Scottish DJ Harvey McKay, Spanish DJ Dosem, Swiss DJ Mendo, and the Italian duo composing Supernova, “Emijay” Nencioni and Giacomo Godi.
The longest-running and biggest House music festival in Houston promises to bring its best season yet. Organized by its founders and resident DJs Alex Clavijo, Bobby Blyss and Steven Towers, the all-day event will offer food, drinks, and great tunes.
I am very honored to be part of the list for the 10th anniversary series with my buddies Dosem and Supernova, and Butch, whom I have not played with for a long time and to share the stage with Harvey McKay for the first time.

Praia Urbana, which means urban beach in Portuguese, is an underground electronic music festival that began in the heart of Downtown Houston, Texas.
