The partner-in-charge of CRI’s Bradenton and Sarasota offices, Byron Shinn, has recently been appointed to the Florida Cybersecurity Task by the president of the Florida Senate, Bill Galvano.

The Florida Cybersecurity Task Force was created by House Bill 5301 (2019) and is tasked with reviewing and providing recommendations for the improvement of the state’s cybersecurity infrastructure, governance, and operations. Once finalized, the task force is required to submit a final report of its findings and recommendations to the Executive Office of the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by Nov. 1, 2020. Byron’s term began on Oct. 4, 2019, and will expire Jan. 1, 2021.
