CapitalMarine.co.uk Now Stocking NASA BM-1 Compact Battery Monitor
Online, January 4, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The NASA BM-1 Compact battery monitor is true to its name at just 124mm x 62mm x 23mm, and is based on the incredibly popular BM-1 marine battery monitor.
The Nasa Battery Monitor was designed to the used in places where space is ata premium, whilst at the same time keeping tabs on the voltage, current (charge/discharge), number of amp/hours (charge/discharge), the battery charge level and the time to charge or discharge of a 12 volt lead acid battery system.
This unit has a capacity of up to 650 Amp hours, and enjoys an excellent reputation as a marine industry favourite.
The Nasa Battery Monitor can be used in caravans, mobile homes, RVs, small boats or even renewable power installations, the benefits from the enhanced efficiency provided by a BM-1 Compact are more than apparent, and reduce the risk of battery failure whilst extending battery life.
A precision 100 Amp shunt comes included with the BM-Compact, as are prefabricated cables to make DIY installation child's play.
Operating the device is simple too - one screen displays voltage and current (charge or discharge), and a bar graph shows remaining battery capacity. When you need to be warned if the capacity is getting too low, you will receive a flashing alarm, and a second screen provides the remaining time available at the current charge/discharge rate, as well as the remaining capacity in both analogue and digital format.
The BM1 Compact also consumes a miserly 1.5mA!
