CAMRI And IMAS Form Partnership In Leading Investment Management Developments

NUS Business School's Center for Asset Management Research & Investments and the Investment Management Association of Singapore have formed a strategic partnership to spearhead innovations and developments in the investment management industry.

NUS Business School's Center for Asset Management Research & Investments (CAMRI) and the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) have formed a strategic partnership with the goal to spearhead innovations and developments in the investment management industry.

For Professor Joseph Cherian, Practice Professor of Finance and Director of CAMRI, this is "an exciting development for CAMRI, to be partnering with an industry association with such intimate knowledge of the investment management business."

Mr Lester Gray, Chairman of IMAS says, "CAMRI conducts research, education, and outreach programmes in the field of investment management, which are aligned with IMAS' interests. We are happy to be able to participate in its activities that spearhead the development and growth of the investment management industry in Singapore."

As part of this agreement, IMAS will be a supporting partner of CAMRI's educational programmes, research activities and events. IMAS will also provide endorsements for relevant CAMRI activities. CAMRI will open up its events to IMAS members.

CAMRI's events include forums, conferences and competitions such as the highly successful annual Asian Stock Pitch Competition that it introduced in Singapore (and Asia) earlier this year in partnership with the Parker Investments Center at The Johnson School at Cornell University. Among the line-up that CAMRI has for the coming year include the NUS-Cornell Applied Research Forum in March that will focus on the business of investment management in Asia, financial regulation, and the investment outlook and opportunities in Asia.
