California-based Goldman Dubow Dermatology & Laser Offers Juvederm®

Dr. Peter M. Goldman restores patients' appearance, and confidence with Juvederm®

Over time, the normal aging process can cause the appearance of smiles lines, jowls, vertical lines above the lips, and chin lines. While many people still believe that invasive plastic surgery is the only way of correcting these cosmetic issues, the hyaluronic filler Juvederm® is an effective, nonsurgical way to correct these issues.

Dr. Peter M. Goldman, of Goldman Dubow Dermatology & Laser in California, says that Juvederm® is FDA-approved, and one of the most effective ways of eliminating visible wrinkles and lines. Dr. Golman adds that Juvederm® will give patients a natural, rejuvenated look without the risk of looking "frozen," or expressionless.

Dr. Goldman explains that, as we age, our skin begins to lose fibers which helps keep skin strong. Juvederm® is primarily composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance which is found naturally in the body and keeps skin strong and firm. Dr. Goldman says that his patients love that Juvederm® is derived from a natural substance, and that their results also look natural.

Dr. Goldman injects Juvederm® with a fine needle, smoothing away wrinkles and lines, leaving the patient looking youthful and rejuvenated. He adds that the filler can also be used to add volume and fullness to the lips. The injection takes just minutes, with immediately visible results and no lengthy recovery time.

According to Dr. Goldman, Juvederm® is quite safe to use, and requires no allergy testing prior to use. However, some patients may experience some mild side-effects from using this dermal filler. Some of the most common side-effects associated with the treatment include redness, pain or tenderness at the injection site, swelling, bruising, itchiness, or slight skin discoloration.

Although the effects of Juvederm® will vary from patient to patient, Dr. Goldman states that many patients will experience results that last for up to 9 months. Patients are usually encouraged to schedule additional treatments so that they can maintain their results longer.

Dr. Goldman offers Juvederm® as a way to revive a patient's confidence, as well as their overall appearance. Dr. Goldman practices alongside dermatologist and skin pathologist, Dr. Brian E. Dubow, at Goldman Dubow Dermatology & Laser in Los Angeles, California. Both doctors have years of experience in dermatology, and pride themselves on offering patients comprehensive, personalized care.
