Bryn Mawr Mainliners Chorus Win Atlantic Division Championship
The Bryn Mawr Mainliners, Pennsylvania's premier men's a cappella chorus, was crowned the 2011 Atlantic Division Chorus Champions.
Online, May 26, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Bryn Mawr Mainliners, the area's premier men's a cappella chorus, was crowned the 2011 Atlantic Division Chorus Champions. Victorious over choruses from Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware, the Mainliners will next compete in October for the Mid-Atlantic District Championship, and to earn a spot in the International Championship, to be held in Portland, Oregon in July 2012.
Upcoming public performances include the Wayne Memorial Day Parade on May 30th, as well as many summer concerts in the area including the Brandywine Valley Park in West Chester on June 23rd, Miller Park in Exton on July 3rd, Reeves Park in Phoenixville on July 24th and Rose Tree Park in Media on August 11th . Additionally, the Mainliners perform for many retirement homes, corporations, and other non-profit organizations, and are available for additional performance opportunities. They also stage a hugely popular Christmas extravaganza that will be performed at Great Valley High School on December 10, 2011, an annual spring show in April, and are well known for their annual Singing Valentine program.
The Mainliners are currently seeking new members. They rehearse most Mondays at 7:30 pm at the Great Valley High School in Malvern. Prospective new members are encouraged to attend a rehearsal, and enjoy an evening of "Glee for Guys", as well as obtain more membership information, and schedule an audition. Singing experience is not required, as teaching members to sing or to sing better is an integral part of the experience.
