Ashland, OR - For decades, popular culture has been calling for less war and more peace. Then why are we still engaged in war? Supporters of the Universal Flag Peace Movement (UFPM) believe the answer lies in humanity's fundamental belief in separation. That is to say, that we remain at odds with those we feel separated from; and in truth, we are actually connected to everyone and everything. The UFPM uses a flag that bears a rainbow-filled round symbol as a visual cue to begin the conversation about life's interconnection and harken to others who are familiar with the meaning of the symbol.

In an effort to affect as many people as possible with their message of Oneness, the UFPM recently launched a Global Ambassadors Flag Campaign. Their goal is to raise $810 to help with the shipping and handling costs of sending 50 Universal Flags to 50 Ambassadors around the world in 50 days. The organization already has the cost of the flags ($1750) covered and are using the popular crowd funding platform, Indiegogo.com to raise the remainder of the costs needed for shipping and handling.

Donors can contribute as little as $15, the estimated cost of shipping one flag, and as much as $250. For each funding tier, donors receive a different perk ranging from a public thank-you on Facebook, to a music download of the conscious spiritual rock/pop band, Here II Here's song, "Holy," to a personal call from the UFPM's founder.

So far, flags have already been sent to Afghanistan, Iraq, Bolivia, France, the Philippines, South Africa, Australia, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Egypt, Guatemala, Namibia, Mexico, Palestine, and the United Kingdom. Ambassadors who receive a donated flag are working to introduce the flag's message to their communities by sharing the flag with organizations, schools, community events, and online. Those who would like to become an Ambassador for the UFPM should contact info@universalflag.com.

UFPM's Global Ambassadors Flag Campaign ends on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Those who would like to contribute to the campaign can do so at: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/global-ambassadors-flag-campaign/x/1852692, or by searching for "Global Ambassadors Flag Campaign" at indiegogo.com
