Bright Oaks Announces New Senior Living Community

For the first time Bright Oaks Group is expanding into the Chicagoland area.

Bright Oaks Group – an innovative assisted living company based in Illinois – has received unanimous approval from the Aurora City Council to build a new senior living community.  Construction is underway on “Bright Oaks of Aurora,” located at 1340 River Street and slated to open in winter of 2015.  The new community will offer 24 memory care and 36 assisted living apartments.

“We are very excited to open Bright Oaks of Aurora, our first senior living community in the Chicagoland area,” said to Nader Kameli, CEO of Bright Oaks Group. "We look forward to working with leaders in the community and construction trades during development, and to recruiting the very best employees to engage, serve and support our residents and families.”

Bright Oaks senior living developments feature multiple neighborhoods for both assisted living and memory care residents, functioning as unique communities.  Spanning 53,532 square feet, Bright Oaks of Aurora will feature multiple dining areas, intergenerational spaces and a robust life enrichment curriculum that will set it apart from other senior living communities.

Bright Oaks of Aurora is investing in new technologies and strategies for senior living, including the latest physical and mental health research, applications and techniques to help residents achieve the best possible health care results. “Our high-tech, high-touch approach to improving the lives of our residents is supported by the best evidence-based outcomes.  Each resident will experience personal, professional care, which is of great comfort for families,” continues Kameli.

Additionally, "Our approach engages residents and Bright Oaks care team members in partnership, caring for each other, sharing meaningful life experiences while creating new ones in each Bright Oaks community,” said Kameli.

Bright Oaks of Aurora is creating approximately 100 construction industry jobs throughout development, and more than 50 full time jobs upon opening.  These include nurses, aides, other medical and personal care providers, physical therapy specialists and administrators, but more importantly, people who care about seniors. "Bright Oaks is choosing care team members who represent the industry’s finest -- compassionate, skilled professionals who make ours an enjoyable and inviting community for residents, families and friends," said Kameli.

The Bright Oaks of Aurora project has received an outpouring of support from the community, including Mayor Thomas Weisner and former Alderman Rick Lawrence. “Bright Oaks will be a great addition to the community, and the City of Aurora needs more projects like this,” said Lawrence.  “We are very excited to invest in this senior living project and in the greater Aurora community,” added Kameli.  Aurora elected officials are happy to see new businesses emerging, sparking a recovering local economy:
