Morton College Hosts Reception to Honor Bridge of American Dreams Exhibition

Morton College Logo

Morton College will host a special community reception on Friday, February 3, 2017 to honor the Bridge of American Dreams Exhibition being displayed on campus from February 3-February 17.

Bridge of American Dreams is a 60 ft bridge constructed by Morton high school students from tens of thousands of hand-cut children’s blocks, affording the students an opportunity to display their personal representations of the American dream.

Additionally, the Bridge will serve as an across-the-curriculum enterprise designed to increase cognitive awareness, community spirit, and a positive worldview. This project is being supported by the Sixteenth Street Theater, Berwyn, IL, where a room-size mural of the bridge is on display in their lobby.

Morton College respectfully requests all to attend this community event and enjoy the inspirational experience of walking across the Bridge of American Dreams Exhibition. To view the virtual bridge and enjoy more of the Morton West students’ artwork and writings, please visit their website at www.carteblox.com

For more information about this event or to confirm attendance, please call (708) 656-8000, Ext. 2216; or email Blanca.Jara@Morton.edu.

Morton College would like to thank all in support and they look forward to an evening full of inspiration.
