SCHENECTADY, N.Y., July 14, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Best known to fans and tens of thousands of followers as "The Bra Expert" due to her internationally successful bestselling book, The Bra Book (BenBella Books, second edition, 2017), and her stints on TV shows such as Dr. Oz, Wendy and NBC's Today, Jené Luciani Sena is making her first foray into designing and manufacturing with a line of crystal-healing bras known as The GemBra™️ by Jené Luciani. It launched exclusively in front of millions of viewers on-air at QVC and online at QVC.com, on Monday, July 5, during their prime-time show Fashion's Night In. The author, entrepreneur and mom of four lost her lucrative job as a spokesperson for a major bra brand on the home shopping network in April of last year due to the pandemic. As someone who's been at the forefront of the bra industry, helping millions of women over the last 15 years and consulting for brands such as SOMA, Calvin Klein Underwear, SheFit, Yummie and Warner's, she decided now was the time finally launch her own design - a comfortable yet supportive bra with an additional "uplifting" feature - a natural GIA-certified crystal gemstone embedded in a patent-pending mesh triangle at the center gore of the bra, close to the wearer's heart. Spring boarding off the concept of women carrying crystals in their bras (a common spot), and knowing that coming off the heels of the COVID-19 crisis women needed items that are positive and uplifting to incorporate into their daily lives (and wardrobes) more than ever, The GemBra™️ was born.
Luciani pitched her concept to QVC/HSN as part of the network's 2020 "Big Find" contest with just a prototype and a dream. She was thrilled to be chosen from over 2,700 brands as a part of the group of 60 new and innovative brands that the network would bring to its viewers in early 2021.
The size-inclusive collection offers three inaugural styles: Attract Love Bra (white/rose quartz), Attract Success Bra (black/amethyst), and Attract Peace Bra (tan/sodalite). Each one will come with a full-color card describing what its stone is designed to bring to the wearer. The collection is alpha-sized, sizes S-3X, to suit a variety of shapes and sizes and tested on bra sizes 34B all the way up to 46G. It will retail for $44. Her manufacturer, Dora Lau International, has more than 30-years experience making bras for brands such as SOMA, Destination Maternity, and Curvy Couture.
