Boardwalk Ferrari Takes First Place!
Online, January 13, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Plano, TX) - 2009 marked the third year for participation in the North American Ferrari Challenge for participation in the North American Ferrari Challenge Series for Boardwalk Ferrari - and also the first winning year! The Ferrari Challenge Race Team, consisting of second year racer Ted Skokos and third year racer Scott Tucker, prides itself on being the most prepared, detailed and organized team in the Series.
The Race season started in March in Miami, Florida and concluded in November at the World Finals in Valencia, Spain. The Series consisted of two races each weekend with one race on Saturday and the second race on Sunday. Due to the short amount of time between each race there was a lot of work for the Boardwalk Ferrari crew to ensure the cars are ready for each competition. Luckily for Boardwalk Ferrari, they raced Ferrari F430 Challenge cars, so mechanical problems were very, very rare.
In between Miami in March and the Finals in November, there are five other Race weekends in five different cities across North America. These include Road Atlanta, Infineon in Sonoma, California, Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Mount Tremblant in Canada and New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey.
Racer Skokos finished eighth in points out of 27 cars entered for a single race. Tucker finished second in points and also finished on the Podium in every single race and won 10 out of 14 races. This type of domination has never been witnessed in Ferrari Challenge history.
Each year, the series has grown; not only in participation, but in prestige. Boardwalk Ferrari's goal this year was very clear and happily met: win as many races as possible! The team also had fun in the process.
