Boardcon Announced Latest Quad Core Single Board Computer for Embedded APPs

The EM4412 Quad-core SBC provides advanced, compact configuration ideal for size, weight, and power constrained applications with Cortex-A9 running at 1.6GHz CPU, up-to 2GB DDR3 RAM, 4GB EMMC Flash and Android4.2.2 OS

Boardcon Embedded Design, an Original Design Manufacturer dedicated to providing high quality ARM core based industrial Computer-on-Module, Single Board Computer and Evaluation board announced the launch of its another Quad-core cortex-A9 single board computer EM4412.

The EM4412 is Boardcon's most powerful SBC yet, as it features a Samsung Exynos4412 quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 running at 1.6GHz CPU, up-to 2GB DDR3 RAM, 4GB EMMC Flash and 1080p display output, rich I/O with 10/100MbE, 2 USB ports, 802.11 WiFi and Bluetooth but measuring only 148mm x 108.4mm. For the latter, Boardcon offers options of 4.3-, 7-, or 10.1-inch resistive or capacitive touchscreens. EM4412 SBC offers to the user a high level performance for all kind of applications from graphical to industrial automation, in a compact, reduced size, such as manufacturing process control, traffic management, printing system management, communication infrastructure, data gathering, and laboratory test equipment. The SBC is particularly well suited for point-of-sales (PoS), slot machines, and car-mounted systems, says Boardcon.

The Exynos4412 SoC which is paired with a Mali-400 GPU, also fuels Hardkernel's Odroid-U3 among other SBCs and mobile devices, resides on a separately available Mini4412 (A9) COM that also provides 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 4GB eMMC flash with pre-installed Android 4.2.2 which uses an improved Linux 3.0 kernel (currently 3.0.15 version). The 65 x 47mm COM is further equipped with an 8-bit ITU 601/656 camera interface. The Mini4412 expresses its I/O via four connectors, totaling 202 pins, with one 40-pin connector and three 54-pin connectors. The COM accepts 5V and 3.3V input.
