Black Card Management Makes Strides Against Breast Cancer

Black Card Management team members recently took part in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The firm's President discussed the company's philanthropy program.

“Our team is extremely thoughtful and caring, and we always welcome new opportunities to help those locally as well as nationwide,” stated Lauren, President of Black Card Management. “This is one reason that we’re all so excited about the charitable event we just took part in as a team, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Denver. This is a fundraiser we have been involved in the last few years because it’s a personal issue to many of us as well.”

Lauren’s grandmother passed away from breast and brain cancer, and many other Black Card Management brand ambassadors have supported friends and loved ones as they battled this dreaded disease. Team members vote on which causes to support throughout the year, and the Making Strides event is always unanimously chosen.

"Our team is extremely thoughtful and caring, and we always welcome new opportunities to help those locally as well as nationwide,"

Lauren, President

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is one of the major fundraisers for The American Cancer Society, a nonprofit dedicated to championing those who are fighting against breast cancer, funding research, promoting early screening, and supporting recovery efforts. Next to skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer type among women, with at least 250,000 new cases of breast cancer being diagnosed each year.

Black Card Management’s President Highlights the Benefits of Corporate Philanthropy to the Company

The most important reason for Black Card Management to get involved in community events is the good that can be done, but Lauren notes that there are advantages to being a socially responsible company as well. For starters, giving back is a good way to meet other business leaders in the area who share a passion for philanthropy. This makes fundraising a networking opportunity that will likely lead to new business down the road.

Getting out of the office and making a difference in the area is a way for team members to build relationships with one another. Stepping away from their professional titles and roles gives them a chance to connect with each other on a personal level, and when they do so in the service of a worthy cause they make even stronger bonds with their Black Card Management colleagues.

Giving back to the community is the right thing to do, and a good business decision as well. Lauren and her team are already looking forward to the firm’s next philanthropy event.
