Biking Changes Emerge in Cuyuna State Recreation Area
Online, June 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Those guests seeking exercise and adventure at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge will no longer have to travel far for exhilarating biking experiences. By the end of the summer, over 8 miles of paved bike trails will be finished and a 22 mile world class mountain biking trail will be completed in the Cuyuna State Recreation Area in Crosby just 10 miles from Ruttger's.
Cuyuna State Recreation Area is a more than 5,000-acre area of land and is home to a great deal of natural and man-made beauty that bikers have enjoyed for years. The paved trail is designed for those bikers seeking both exercise and enjoyment. Eventually, the trail will connect to the famous Paul Bunyan bike trail. Although not directly connected to Ruttger's, the recreation area is only around 10 miles away and many families either bring their own bikes or rent them in the city of Crosby.
Another exciting aspect to the Cuyuna State Recreation Area is the new addition of the 22-mile mountain biking trail. This trail is unique in that nothing else like it exists in the Midwest. Eventually the course will extend to 40 miles. The course includes multiple levels of difficulty based on mountain biking experience and the challenges mountain bikers are seeking. This feature will draw in a great deal of people from the Midwest searching for mountain biking opportunities.
