Bentours Launches Cruising 2013 Brochure

Bentours has launched a standalone 2013 Cruising brochure offering nine cruises across the Arctic, Greenland, Norway, Russia and Ukraine.

Bentours has launched a standalone 2013 Cruising brochure offering nine cruises across the Arctic, Greenland, Norway, Russia and Ukraine.

The 20-page brochure features some of its most popular tours as well as a new 15-day expedition voyage visiting some of the world's most isolated nature reserves in north-east Siberia.

Bentours' flagship cruising product is the 4 - Star Volga Dream River Cruise, a 12-day riverboat journey from St Petersburg to Moscow with five-star accommodation in both cities from $3366* per person twin share.

Other popular products returning in 2013 include the 12-day Ukraine River Cruise - Black Sea and Dnieper from $1502* per person twin share and 12-day Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Voyage from $1883* per person twin share.

Bentours product manager Matt Scott said the brochure offered affordable holidays which did not sacrifice comfort or convenience.

"For example, the boutique Volga Dream River Cruise offers exceptional value for money," he said. "Cruises include all sightseeing, entertainment and most meals and start from just $280 per day, representing a potential saving of $4000 per couple compared to other cruises.

"Volga Dream voyages include five-star hotel accommodation in Moscow and St Petersburg, which is centrally located near the major attractions, before and after the cruise. With many other cruise operators, passengers sleep on-board the vessel well outside the city centre, severely restricting their sightseeing options.

"Passenger numbers on the Volga Dream are limited to just 109 compared with almost 300 on some other operators. The ship's intimate atmosphere is enhanced by shore excursions in groups of just 15 people (25 on the Gold Program) and single-sitting dining, giving passengers a chance to get to know their fellow guests.

"Other great value voyages include the Ukraine cultural cruise from Kiev to Odessa from just $125 per day, Hurtigruten cruises from $170 a day and an unforgettable 15-day journey through the remote reaches of eastern Siberia for under $700 per day."

The new Across the Top of the World sails the north-east coast of Siberia up to the remote and seldom visited Wrangel and Herald islands, which are known for their abundant wildlife, from $9592* per person triple share.

Other product changes include the introduction of the 3-star MS Chekhov to the 11-day Classic Volga between St Petersburg and Moscow. The Spitsbergen Explorer Voyage around the Arctic island's rugged north-west coast has also been extended to nine days.

Mr Scott said the brochure had been released six months ahead of Bentours' Scandinavia brochure in response to growing demand for Scandinavia cruising holidays.

"For 2013 we have put together a selection of our most popular cruises which have featured in our general brochure and added some new products," he said.

"With the earlier release we hope to secure more interest in the summer season cruises. And as space is often limited it's best to book early to avoid disappointment."
