Benjamin Bloom Earns the LUTCF Designation

Benjamin Bloom, Financial Services Professional for MassMutual in Walnut Creek has earned the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) professional designation. The LUTCF is conferred only upon those individuals who meet or exceed the exacting qualification standards determined by the two organizations that jointly sponsor the designation, The American College and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

The designation marks an agent's long-term commitment to professionalism on behalf of clients, establishes the agent's competence and business experience, marks a commitment to The American College's and NAIFA's Code of Ethics and fosters additional professional development. In addition to the successful completion of five courses within a 10-course curriculum, LUTCF candidates must also complete an ethics course and be a member in good standing of NAIFA.

Conferees are honored during The American College's national Knowledge Summit and Commencement exercises. This event will be taking place in 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Each fall, local NAIFA associations nationwide also hold local conferment ceremonies. Since the introduction of the LUTCF designation in 1984, more than 69,000 individuals in the United States have earned the designation.

Benjamin is a member of the Mt. Diablo Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and has been active in the profession for 2 years. He is the third generation in his family to pursue a career in financial services, following in the footsteps of his father Gregory and grandfather Harry. Being the third generation in this business has given him a deep respect and connection to his professional and ethical responsibilities.
