Bankers Graduate From Georgia Bankers Association Schools

Georgia Bankers complete ongoing education programs; the Georgia Banking School and GBA Southern Operations and Technology School.

Atlanta, GA - The Georgia Bankers Association congratulates the following graduates from two of its advanced banking schools. The schools concluded the 2012 sessions May 4 in Athens.

Georgia Banking School 2012 Honors and Graduates

Brynn Stensrud, CBC National Bank, Alpharetta, is this year's Georgia Banking School Graduate of Distinction, a recognition for the student with the highest grade-point-average for home study assignments and school exams, class participation and outstanding leadership. This year's Honor Graduate, a recognition for the student with the second highest score, is Jonathan Payne, Columbus Bank and Trust Company.

The Georgia Banking School is a three-year school designed for first-level and mid-level managers to provide a thorough understanding of critical banking functions such as asset-liability management, lending, human resource management, sales and marketing, investments and technology. Since 1961, the GBA-sponsored Georgia Banking School has been a highly-effective resource for developing the leadership talents of Georgia bankers.

GBA Southern Operations and Technology School 2012 Graduates

Eight Georgia bankers recently graduated from the Southern Operations and Technology School. They are:

Offered in cooperation with the banking associations from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Tennessee, the purpose of the GBA Southern Operations and Technology School is to strengthen students' management skills and regulatory and compliance awareness, and to help them understand the practical application of current technologies and products in banking.
