Bahia Principe Participates to the Children's Solidarity Festival

Online, February 17, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts proudly participated in the 2014 Children's Solidarity Festival in San Pedro De Macoris, Dominican Republic. The event was a full of fun, celebration, and great charity work, as members of the community and businesses joined together to fight hunger and promote education.

At the festival, Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts became the 2014 "Food Supplier of the Year" for the children's school, Nuestros Pequeсos Hermanos. Bahia Principe presented the school with a check to sponsor the local school for the year of 2014. The festival focused on eliminating hunger with a food drive, while centering around important pillars of the community of San Pedro De Macoris: education, faith, and family.

Excited school children sat under tents in their bright blue uniforms to watch the presentation of the giant check. Bahia Principe representatives handed over the symbolic currency to representatives of the children's school, Nuestros Pequeсos Hermanos. Individual awards were presented to top students, who were celebrated by their peers, school officials, and Bahia Principe representatives.
