Baby Boot Camp Crowns America's Fittest Moms

More than 1,000 moms from across the country competed in the seventh annual Mother Love Fitness Challenge, sponsored by Baby Boot Camp stroller fitness program, who is pleased to announce the winners of the three-month competition.

More than 1,000 moms from across the country competed in the seventh annual Mother Love Fitness Challenge (or MOLO), sponsored by Baby Boot Camp, the stroller fitness and nutrition program for new moms. Baby Boot Camp is pleased to announce the winners of the three-month competition to become America's Fittest Moms: Chrissy Campbell of Team Missouri City, Richmond & Sugar Land, TX; Amanda Mulder of Team Lake Oswego, Sherwood & Tualatin, OR; and Maria Revere of Team Broussard, Lafayette & Youngsville, LA.

Beginning in February, Baby Boot Camp challenged moms across America to focus on improving their health, fitness and nutrition. Winners were nominated by their local Baby Boot Camp owners, who submitted essays measurements, and before-and-after photos, according to Founder & CEO Kristen Horler.

Winners receive the official stroller of Baby Boot Camp, the Mountain Buggy® terrain (valued at $500), as well as prize packages from Happy Family® and ZICO®, each valued at $75.

Delivered by nationally certified fitness professionals, Baby Boot Camp stroller-fitness classes combine strength-training exercises with cardiovascular drills in 60-minute sessions. Pilates, yoga and abdominal exercises are incorporated to help improve core strength.

Chrissy Campbell

Campbell began the Challenge not only at the start of her pregnancy, but also after recovering from a broken foot, according to her instructor, Jessica Forray.

"Chrissy met or exceeded all of her MOLO goals," Forray said. "I am very proud of her and love to see her still going strong at 34 weeks pregnant. I cannot wait to see what she accomplishes next year."

Campbell noted in her essay that she had major doubts about signing up for this year's Challenge since it wouldn't compare to the success she experienced in the 2013 Challenge, but in the end, she was glad she participated.

"The challenge helped me to stay committed to my health and fitness throughout this pregnancy," Campbell wrote. "At every doctor appointment, my OB comments that I am doing a fabulous job with my weight maintenance."

Amanda Mulder

While many moms competed in this year's Challenge, Mulder also brought along her husband to exercise with her and her daughter every Saturdary, according to Mulder's instructor, Jessica Steitzer.

"This is a mom who has truly pushed herself to new levels," Steizer said. "Her positivity and hard work in class is contagious."
Mulder credited her fellow participants for her success.

"MOLO was more than just me participating, which is what makes it so awesome!" Mulder wrote in her essay. "I loved the motivation and encouragement that I got, not only from my fellow Baby Boot Camp mamas and my fabulous instructors, but from the whole nation. How powerful to be a part of a program that encourages mamas all over the United States to live healthier for their families."

Maria Revere

Due to an accident years ago, Revere was unable to hold her two young sons with her right arm - until this year's Challenge, according to Revere's instructor, Mandi Hebert.

"Maria has never been able to hold her children on her right side due to an elbow injury 20 years ago, but now she can because of the increase in mobility and strength that she has gained during the MOLO Challenge," Hebert said. "I am so happy that Baby Boot Camp has given Maria the ability to use her right arm to do every day activities, especially something so special as holding her children."

Through the positive reinforcement and support of the Challenge, Revere wrote in her essay that she has gained a new perspective on health and fitness.

"My goals are no longer to be able to wear my pre-pregnancy clothes or get back into a bikini," Revere wrote. "My goals are to be fit and to make positive changes for myself and my family.

""I am not a hard core diet guru. I am not a fitness or nutritional expert. I am a blessed wife and mother of two who wants to take my knowledge I have gained through MOLO and have a positive impact on my family. I want my boys to see my struggles. And I want them to see that anything is possible if you are committed and if you surround yourself with positive people that lift you up."
