Adding New Facility Coding Service Positions Company for Growth as Healthcare Organizations Increasingly Opt to Outsource Medical Coding
Salt Lake City, Utah, January 3, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Aviacode, a leader in professional fee coding, has acquired the assets of Florida-based Revant Solutions, a long-time provider of facility coding outsourced services. As part of the agreement, Aviacode will retain the majority of Revant’s full-time facility coders, auditors and operations managers, and obtain the company’s existing clients, including one of the largest medical care organizations in the United States. As a result, Aviacode will be able to offer medical facilities—both large and small—an ‘all-in-one’ coding solution to help improve revenue, cash flow and compliance.
A large number of hospitals—including 67 percent of small-hospital CFOs, according to Black Book Market Research—are increasing their focus on medical coding as part of their overall revenue growth strategies, with a greater look at outsourcing the complicated, overly expensive and hard-to-staff functions.
