Avamere Chief Innovation Officer Earns Prestigious Award

WILSONVILLE, Ore. , October 13, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Mike Billings, Chief Innovation Officer with the Avamere Family of Companies, proudly earned the 2020 Technology and Innovation Award from the Health Policy & Admin (HPA) section of the American Physical Therapy Association.  

Billings earns this award for his extensive innovative work in healthcare.  

HPA stated, “Michael Billings’ major contribution to innovative healthcare has been leading the clinical development of telehealth and digital health practice in several states, as well as for the physical therapy profession.” 

Billings is honored to receive this distinguished award recognizing his innovation efforts.

Billings is a strong advocate for telehealth, one of the several reasons he was selected for the innovation award. He led efforts to advance telehealth practice in his collaboration with physical therapy state boards in Oregon and Washington. His rich clinical history as the president of Infinity Rehab, a therapy services organization and part of the Avamere Family of Companies, has led to clinicians and students of all levels developing their telehealth practice.  

Mike is currently a member of the Frontiers in Rehabilitation Science and Technology Council for the American Health Care Association.
