Avamere at Port Townsend Residents Enjoy Fire Fighting With EMTs
PORT TOWNSEND, Wash., August 20, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Avamere at Port Townsend, an independent and assisted living community, hosted the East Jefferson Fire Rescue team for a fun afternoon of ice cream and learning.

On August 1, Avamere at Port Townsend staff and residents treated the East Jefferson Fire and Rescue team to hugs and ice cream while the EMTs showed residents how to fight fires. A few residents even put out a fire with an EMT’s guidance.
"It was wonderful to hear how well prepared our first responders are,” one resident said.
Many residents expressed that they had fun with the EMTs and getting the chance to meet them face-to-face.
