Author R.L. Mata's New Book 'Prairie Moon: Sketches' is the Satisfying Final Installment of His Captivating, Generation-Spanning Family Saga Trilogy

Recent release "Prairie Moon: Sketches" from Newman Springs Publishing author R.L. Mata brings the story of Dennis Camp to a gratifying conclusion. The Prairie Moon series follows Camp's life and family, beautifully portrayed in the high plains of northeastern Colorado.

R.L. Mata has completed the final installment of the Prairie Moon Series with his new book "Prairie Moon: Sketches". The groundwork for the story has been set by the first two books, "Time: The Revelator" and "Blue Moon Bar and Café."

Mata was born and raised on the plains of northeastern Colorado. He spent 40 years as an educator in New Mexico, Colorado, and Iowa, before completing his career in Los Angeles County, California. He is passionate about cycling, walking, writing, traveling, music, and reading. He is thrilled to share the conclusion of his Prairie Moon series with readers. The story is accented by original sketches and famous poetry.

In Book 1, Dennis Camp comes of age in a time when everything is changing. He makes a promise to his dying mother, and struggles to find a way to keep that promise. Book 2 is set in 1999 when Dennis returns home to uncover the truth about his father. In Book 3, we skip ahead twenty years. Lives have moved forward, and the time has brought about significant changes to the land and the characters.

Dennis Camp knew little of what would come by honoring a promise to his dying mother. He would find and forge a large, diverse, and well-found family. The Camp family branches from their roots, with some members leaving the Centennial state, and some branches finding themselves pruned far before others. Old issues seem to have been resolved, yet others have found their way here.

As this new family coalesces, the long-declining farmland has taken on a new and unexpected renaissance of its own. Dennis laid the path for a sure-footed family; with the foundations now secure, the future promising, and the present finally at peace. Through all of Dennis' effort and work to understand his obligations, he acts on a newfound understanding that is finally his.

Readers who want to experience the conclusion of this thrilling saga for themselves, can purchase "Prairie Moon: Sketches" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
