Author Christopher Cass Joins Copyhouse Press
London, July 27, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Copyhouse Press Ltd are proud to announce the addition of North Devon-based author Christopher Cass to their list. The new addition brings his acclaimed debut novel, the historical romance "To Bathe in Eden's Glory", to Copyhouse for a new edition of a work which has already generated positive reviews.
The timing of the new addition could not be better, as the centenary of the Great War is currently upon us. "To Bathe in Eden's Glory" thus comes at a time of national reflection on the background to the story and will appeal to all who have shared in that process, whether by participation or by individual interest.
On behalf of all at Copyhouse Press, I'd like to say how extremely pleased we all are to be adding Christopher to our list. He's an incredible author with a timely and superb book which boasts a clarity of vision rare among debut writers.

In the midst of the centenary of the Great War, we firmly believe that ‘To Bathe In Eden’s Glory’ will be judged among the best novels set in that period to be published.
The story telling is deceptively simple, leading the reader into moral issues as relevant today, in their modern guises, as they were then, with an ease seldom exhibited by a first time novelist.
Christopher Cass is the pen name of musician and producer Chris Baker. Educated at Chelmsford Grammar School, at 18 Chris took a gap year, became a professional musician and spent the next 30 years combining a playing career with production and the business side of music.
For many years he was a mainstay of ‘Marty Wilde and the Wildcats’, and also worked, in one capacity or another, with acts as diverse as the Enid, Bert Weedon, Lee Scratch Perry and Kim Wilde, plus the host of musicians and singers who passed through his studios in the 1980s: Robert Plant, Squeeze, Odyssey, Robbie Coltrane, Beautiful South, All About Eve, Paul Young, the Communards, and a hundred others.
Once described by Melody Maker as a studio guru, Chris lectured at London’s MBS (Music Business School) in the late eighties and wrote for various magazines including Billboard’s ‘Studio’, before moving to Athens in the early 1990s to work in Greek TV. He stayed there for the best part of a decade, producing music for Greece’s top TV shows, until, a family illness brought him home in the new millenium.
Finding himself isolated in the wilds of North Devon, he took a sabbatical from music to concentrate on writing. ‘To Bathe In Eden’s Glory’ is his first novel and reflects a lifetime’s obsession with the First World War.
However, ‘To Bathe In Eden’s Glory’ is far more than simply another indictment of the War. The love story at its centre digs deep into the psyche, with a relevance that transcends the years.
He is currently working on the sequel and a third novel, which he describes as 'a bit of a sex comedy'. 'If I get writer's block on one, I turn to the other,' he says, 'and if I get really stuck there's the new album I'm working on with Dear Mr. Time, my original band from way back.'
The album, as yet untitled, will be the band's third, stemming from the 2010/11 (CD and vinyl) re-issue of its first album, ‘Grandfather’, made way back in 1970, and the release of its latest, 'Brontosaurs and Bling', possibly the most long awaited follow up album in history, in 2015.
