The workshop was conducted by Prof. Saikat Sen, Director SAFIM (Shri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Management) and Ms. Smita Gupta from Delhi. The two day workshop was a novel concept in management education to train the faculty members from the various domain areas of management so that they can impart the concept of integral education to the students.

'Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Management' (SAFIM) is a centre of Excellence in Management, established by Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry. SAFIM is accredited by National foundation for Corporate Governance (NFCG) as "National Centre of Corporate Governance.

The main objective of the workshop was to consciously activate the hidden potentialities of consciousness and manifest them in every activity of corporate life. The topics were based on some pressing needs of the contemporary corporate world. But the approach was very different from the traditional workshops. The approach was "within outward" relying mainly on the inner powers of consciousness to bring the outer result. The workshop explored the deeper sources of every need, function and activity and sought to consciously fulfil the same in the outer activity. The two day workshop had various sessions focussed on but not limited to relevance of consciousness in today's business, concept of integral management, present scenario of management education in India, understanding consciousness and self, the power of understanding, and the power of action.

The two day workshop was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh and Prof. Jonaki Mahajan. All the registered participants were awarded certificates on the successful completion of the two day workshop.

The workshop witnessed overwhelming response from faculty members of various affiliated colleges and universities of Gujarat and included participants from the social sector as well apart from the in-house faculty members of the School of Management and Entrepreneuship and the School of Hospitality Management at Auro University.
