Dr. Linda Travis, an expert in the field of dementia care education, will present “Effective and Caring Ways to Engage with and Provide Comfort to People with Dementia” on Monday, August 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lester Senior Housing Community in Whippany. This seminar is for anyone who has a loved one suffering from a dementia-related diagnosis and is seeking helpful information on ways to overcome the interpersonal challenges dementia presents to individuals and their families and friends. The Lester Senior Housing Community has recently opened its Memory Care Suite, an intimate setting for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diagnoses; all caregivers have been specially trained through Comfort Matters®. Its approach emphasizes individualized, compassionate, person-centered care that focuses on each person’s wellness of mind, body, and soul with opportunities for family and social connections that enhance residents’ overall health and well-being.

The Lester Senior Housing Community is located at 903-905 Route 10 East on the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus.
