Atlona Technologies Showcases Competitive Edge in Audio Visual Technologies as a CE Pro BEST Awards

Online, August 26, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Atlona Technologies has proven its place as a stand out company within the AV industry with production of its AT-HDAiR and AT-PROHD88M-SR, creating a buzz that has earned them a spot as finalists in the 2009 CE Pro BEST Awards.
The CE Pro BEST (Best Electronic Systems Technologies) Awards are making their debut this fall at the annual reputable CEDIA tradeshow, presenting honors to the top products in 38 categories with one overall winner. CE Pro is largely recognized as a leading publication for the custom electronics industry and a highly reliable authority on such technology. Atlona is facing rivals from an initial pool of 77 different companies with over 100 products creating a very competitive contest.
Atlona's competing products include the AT-HDAiR, a wireless USB to HDMI or VGA converter that transmits HD video from one's laptop or computer to an HD display up to 30 ft away. This feature allows users to apply their HDTV as an extra monitor, wirelessly, proving the perfect product for presentations, slide shows, or watching video from Internet sites such as Hulu or Youtube.
Atlona's other entry is the AT-PROHD88M-SR, a True 8x8:2 HDMI1.3 Matrix Switch. The unit features eight HDMI 1.3 inputs, and eight independently switchable HDMI and Twister Pair outputs to feed eight separate displays simultaneously. Users can have access to an additional eight HD sources such as DVD players, Blu-Ray, PS3, Xbox 360 or any other HDMI devices directly, from the location of that HD display.

The various entries can be viewed in the CE Pro Media Guide, available at the show and by mail, as well as online. Winners will be announced at a reception at CE Pro Booth #1119 from 4:00 pm. to 6:00 p.m. on September 10th and highlighted in the October issue of CE Pro.
