Arkansas Bank Pledges $100,000 to Low-Income, First-Generation Scholar Fund

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., July 2, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Generations Bank, with locations throughout the state, has pledged a donation of 100,000 dollars to the Fleischer Scholars Program within the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. The donation will financially assist two low-income, first-generation college students, throughout a five year period, who intend on pursuing degrees in business.

The Fleischer Scholars Program is a week-long summer residential program serving high school juniors and seniors who work in teams to develop business plans and work with business professionals at the University of Arkansas campus, according to the program website. Students in the Fleischer Scholars Program learn skills to succeed and overcome socioeconomic challenges.
