ArcaMax Publishing Launches New Version of Web Site

ArcaMax Publishing, the leading publisher of syndicated features, news and entertainment on the Internet, has launched a new and much improved version of its Web site, the company announced Thursday.

"We have realized for quite some time that our old site simply wasn't keeping up with our expanding content lineup. We are committed to increasing the number of features available while maintaining a top quality reader experience," said ArcaMax CEO Scott Wolf.

ArcaMax.com, http://www.arcamax.com/, is home to more than 150 syndicated columns, cartoon strips along with news, video and interactive games. All features are available for free by email.

The new web site has a much more user-friendly interface. All features can be sorted by content type -- comics, videos, columns, and news. Features are also organized by topic channels that include Entertainment, Home, Gardening, Pets, Parents, Politics and many more.

"The original site was designed for about 25 features," Wolf said. "Today, we have about 150 features and plan on doubling that number by 2012."

Wolf said the decline in newspaper popularity has given ArcaMax a solid audience of loyal readers who are looking for their favorite syndicated features online. Web traffic is consistently hitting new record levels, he added.

"We are distributing content that people grew up reading in the newspaper," Wolf said. "They still want to read their favorites. They can get them from us for free."

In the Comics section, readers currently enjoy more than 50 popular strips like Garfield, Dilbert, Peanuts, Doonesbury, Beetle Bailey, Blondie, Zits and Baby Blues from ArcaMax.

The company currently offers more than 60 regular columns. Columnists discuss a wide variety of topics, including advice from Dear Abby and Dr. Joyce Brothers, political commentary from writers like Arianna Huffington and Kathleen Parker, recipes from Wolfgang Puck, legal advice from Nancy Grace, and health advice from the You Docs, Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen.

"We've also added several more popular interactive games," Wolf said. "These include live versions of Kakuro, Jumble, and Cryptogram to go along with Crossword, Sudoku and more."

ArcaMax sends out more than 150 email newsletters to about 3.5 million subscribers daily. The company has been ranked in the top 25 in the Media category in the Inc 5000 for the past two years.

ArcaMax Publishing also owns and operates BookDaily.com, the leading provider of book samples online.
