Online, July 27, 2011 (Newswire.com) - the AOF Festival presents a screening, Best New Director nominee James Howarth's Inhabitant. It will be held at the Regency Theatre, Theatre 5 at 1003 East Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA. The film directed by James Howarth "Inhabitant filmed in Los Angeles, CA and partly in Sydney, Australia. "Inhabitant: is the debut feature film directed and written by actor/filmmaker James Howarth, produced by Jimmyjack Films and Leader Motion Pictures.
The film was shot on just about every HD format on the market giving the film its unique texture portraying the delusions of a schizophrenic mind. The film breaks new ground in its careful recreation of the coveted "film look" - a result of skills and techniques Howarth spent his career cultivating. The result is an edgy psychological thriller that exhibits cinematic flair and production value far beyond what audiences would expect on its extremely small budget.
In producing "Inhabitant," Howarth utilized "Method" acting and "Raw" un-rehearsed acting techniques. The performances of co-stars Edward Lee Johnson (as the police interrogator) Eva Swan (as Marks psychologist and love interest Abby Myers) Jean Louise O'Sullivan (in the role of love interest Alana) Brandon Fisher (as Mark's devious best friend Ray) and Mika Walter (as Jimmy) Ingrid Bloom (as Stacy) and Lana Troy (as Carol) are mesmerizing and effective in heightening the raw emotion of Howarth's own performance as Mark.
James Howarth landed film and television roles since 1995, James began producing his own films and his skills in creating the perception of higher budget movies on low budget has well equipped him for his current success. For over 10 years, Howarth currently produces, writes, and directs acts and edits his own creation. In 2011 he performed every production role in the making of the feature film "Inhabitant"
As one of his recent review reads; 'Damn. If only I had done that first. "Inhabitant" is a great film, and I recommend it. I'll be watching for more films by Mr. Howarth. I have a feeling he's going far. Audiences can expect to see "Inhabitant" at select film festivals nationwide.
