Announcing NOOR's Community Soup To-Go Donation Program
NOOR, Pasadena's premier event space, is donating nutrient-dense, plant-based soups to the community every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
PASADENA, Calif., April 17, 2020 (Newswire.com) - NOOR, Pasadena’s based premier event space, transformed their kitchen into a gourmet soup kitchen. Since March 27, 2020, NOOR’s catering team has been preparing and distributing nutrient-dense, immune-boosting vegetarian soups to the community on a weekly basis to provide sustenance to those in need.
“As a place for the community to gather for meetings, celebrations and fundraiser galas in Pasadena, we feel it is our duty to use our resources to help provide the community with nourishment until we can re-open. Sitting on the sidelines and waiting for this crisis to end is not an option for us. Soup is a transformative food you can actually feel as it sustains you and provides an easy way to eat nutrition,” says NOOR President, Robert Shahnazarian.
Having a commercial kitchen, talented chefs and access to a food supply chain, NOOR is following the strictest health standards to keep its kitchen safe. Its staff wears protective masks and gloves and receives a body temperature check before beginning their shift. NOOR’s kitchen is equipped with a medical-grade filtration HEPA Air Purifier system to provide a safe environment for preparing meals.
Robert Shahnazarian is working with community partners and food suppliers to support their soup distribution program. Individual Food Service has generously donated 32oz plastic containers, lids and pre-wrapped utensils to help offset the cost of this initiative.
The community is invited to stop by to pick up their nutrient-dense soup every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at NOOR at the entrance to the Sofia Ballroom, located on the second at The PASEO in Pasadena.
