Annie Melik to Appear at the Home Design and Remodeling Show at Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center With "At Home With Art" Exhibit Today Through Sunday

Fort Lauderdale, FL, November 18, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Home Design and Remodeling Show is happening this weekend, beginning Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. The show starts at 3:00 p.m. this Friday.

One of the featured exhibitors at the show will be Florida’s own Annie Melik. Annie describes her artistic works as happy and inspirational, which remind her of good thoughts and places. Her works include watercolor paintings with landscapes, pets, Christian, holidays and patriotic themes, among others. Annie's creations have been called "perfect for gifts and home decor". She is part of the Grace Arts Center, displaying her art with them at the home art show.

I paint what I think is happy and inspirational, images which remind me of good thoughts and good places to be. I create to send good wishes to loved ones.

Annie was born and raised in the southeast regions of Cuba living on her grandparents’ ranch in the countryside with her Christian, conservative family in the midst of a communist isolated island of Cuba. She graduated from the Professional Fine Art School in Cuba at the age of 18 and then went on to graduate from the Institute Superior of Art in 2012.

Following her graduation, Annie worked for several years as a painter muralist, illustrator, designer, set decorator and art director. In 2013, she met her current husband, Jeff, on a church missionary trip, sharing the Gospel. In 2015, they married and moved to Florida. Together, they created Inspiration Museum at http://www.inspirationmuseum.com . Annie and Jeff have always believed that the world needs inspiration through art and the sharing of good news. 

Annie will be showing her art at the Home Design and Remodeling Show as part of the nonprofit Grace Arts Center (http://www.graceartscenter.org/). The exhibit is called “At Home with Art” which is an artist encounter exhibit that aims to put the spotlight on local artists.​
