Andson and the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Host Veterans Finance and Job Fair

Las Vegas, Nevada, January 18, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Among the 573,000 unemployed veterans in 2014, 59 percent were age 45 and over. Statistics like that motivated the Nevada State Treasurer, Dan Schwartz, to build a veterans initiative for 2015-16 to help tackle this issue. Andson, Inc., a local nonprofit focused on financial education and academic support was enlisted to build a veterans financial literacy workshop. With the assistance of the Financial Guidance Center, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Andson will host a finance and job fair - to address the entire life of our local veterans. Some of the topics will be:

• Developing a household budget
• Military benefits and discounts
• Purchasing a vehicle or home
• Saving for higher education
• VA loans and military credit unions

The jobs fair will feature hiring managers from various departments at The Cosmopolitan, actively seeking new candidates. The event has been set for Friday, February 5th, starting 9:00 am at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, in the Castalanna Ballroom. Lunch will be provided.
