Ancient Children's Board Game Updated for 21st Century

British innovator Michael Bond has released an updated version of the antcient children's board game Snakes & Ladders, called Paths of Wisdom, as part of the Book of Happiness.

British writer and innovator Michael Bond had invented a new version of an ancient board game for children. The new game "Snakes & Ladders: Paths Of Wisdom" is a modern revision of the children's favourite which was originally invented in India many centuries ago. By adding a new dimension to the game Michael believes it is now more challenging and educational for modern children around the world.

The original game of Snakes & Ladders was invented as a way to teach children moral values in ancient India. Adopted and translated by the British during the height of the Empire it's become a world-wide success for young children.

Paths Of Wisdom adds new alternative paths around the board, giving children more sophisticated choices, just like the decisions we all have to make in the real world between quick shortcuts, up the ladder like winning a lottery, or wiser routes through life, like getting a good education.

The game is available as part of the Book of Happiness, a collection of satirical art from British artists inspired by the Big Ideas from the British Prime Minister David Cameron. The Book Of Happiness and Paths Of Wisdom are being sold to raise money for a range of good causes throughout Britain and a programme of investment in new innovation to revive the UK economy.

BACKGROUND

Paths of Wisdom was invented to give children a more challenging alternative to the original board game and introduce the principles of personal responsibility and choice in life.

The original Snakes & Ladders is a simple game for young children with little choice over how it is played, a roll of the die decides your fate along the path of life as symbolised by the board.

Modern society accepts the broader principal of choice over your life, whether to take one path or another, to accept a stroke of good fortune or take a different route through life. And throughout the game the snakes lie in wait for the unwary or unlucky.

Paths of Wisdom is an ideal board game for younger children to play together with friends or family away from the distractions of electronic games.

The game Snakes & Ladders: Paths of Wisdom is incorporated in the Book Of Happiness. Together they form one innovation in the development of the Commonwealth Prosperity Plan.

The Commonwealth Prosperity Plan is an integrated strategy of fund-raising and investment to revive the world economy and stimulate a new generation of innovation and design. At the heart of the Prosperity Plan is the understanding that all the fundamental social, economic and environmental problems facing the world today can be solved, but the solutions are not politically-correct and do not conform to the standard models adopted by modern leaders around the world.

Through the board game Snakes & Ladders: Paths Of Wisdom, the Book Of Happiness and other initiatives the creator, Michael Bond, aims to raise money needed for a range of good causes in Britain and the independent launch of the Prosperity Plan.

Other planned activities include the development of a new prestige sports car and new unique designs of luxury homes for wealthy sponsors around the world. The will raise upto four thousand million pounds in development funding for the next phase of the Prosperity Plan.
