An Honest Story About Love, War and Finding Beauty in the Pain of the World
Ste. 365, October 17, 2014 (Newswire.com) - "Yes," Lissa states. "One Day is a music video that is an honest story about love, war and finding beauty in the pain of the world.”
After her last independently released video, Boys and Girls garnered over 250,000 views and trended on Youtube for 2 days, she decided to follow her heart and choose to touch others through her vocals and songwriting once again.
But music is not her only creative outlet. Lissa is also an actress and just wrapped the starring role in a feature film, Spare Change, from the producers of Orange is the New Black and Weeds which will be released in 2015. She also just filmed a TV pilot for a major network as well as a series she wrote that is currently being shopped.
Lissa grew up on the New York stage performing in front of thousands. After she made the transition to Hollywood, she began booking roles in commercials and in film. Musically, she found herself opening for the Jonas Brothers in Atlanta, Georgia, along with the Stained Pink band which gained her recognition and she soon performed solo shows in infamous venues such as The Knitting Factory, Universal Citywalk, The Bitter End and many others.
For Lissa, music and acting is much more than entertainment. It’s a way to reach others and influence them in a positive way. With that sentiment, Lissa created her foundation, The I AM Movement for those that find themselves in a black hole that can be created in our minds. The entertainment business is a vehicle for her to reach others she normally would not be able to reach.
