An Entrepreneurial Hub for Women Opens in Houston, Offering Training, Teaching, Business Growth and Community
Brand Lab Houston gives talented entrepreneurs access to a network of partners, resources and training in a fun, collaborative space.
HOUSTON, June 4, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Some brands seem to appear as if by magic. Others must be carefully engineered for success. Both kinds will be nurtured toward profitability at the new Brand Lab Houston, “Brand Lab,” a space for creativity, entrepreneurialism and growth. Envisioned through the eye of an entrepreneur, the goal of Brand Lab is to foster the next great business and entrepreneurial innovation by women.
Brand Lab Houston is the brainchild of entrepreneur Karee T. Laing, a Houston Business Journal “40 Under 40” and Women Who Mean Business alum, a Goldman Sachs 10KSB scholarship recipient and founder of digital marketing and branding agency Studio Brand Collective, an award-winning agency with more than 80 industry awards. A seasoned executive and business coach, Ms. Laing founded Brand Lab Houston to help fill a void in the city’s business community.
“When I first came to Houston in 2009, there were very few networking and mentorship resources for an entrepreneur without an established brand,” Ms. Laing said. “Even today, in a city as business-focused as Houston, it can be a major challenge for someone who is an outsider or new to the business community to make the connections necessary to achieve success and keep this community growing. Led by a team of marketing and business development professionals, which also includes an advisory panel consisting of local entrepreneurs, Brand Lab will offer free membership and access to one-on-one mentorship, training seminars, marketing workshops, networking events, private workspaces, conference rooms and many other resources critical to startups and small business success.
Brand Lab’s inaugural event will be a fun networking mixer titled Do’s, Don’ts, and Donuts on Thursday, June 14, at 5:30–7:30 p.m. at BLH headquarters, located at 2855 Mangum Rd., Suite 430. The event will include a grand tour of the Brand Lab facilities and an outline of the lab’s new services, including networking with other entrepreneurs and like-minded professionals.
