Amuse-Bouche Set Newest Product From Nordic Homeware Designer Aava

That's the philosophy behind the new 14-Piece Amuse-Bouche Serving Set from luxury Scandinavian homeware designer Aava. This week the company announced the launch of the amuse-bouche set, noting the Scandinavian origins of the product.

Fantastic flavors can result from small bites.

An Aava spokesperson said earlier this week. “Our new 14-Piece Amuse-Bouche Serving Set will bring that term to life through its flawless design and nature-inspired appearance.”

"our set will provide the perfect way to transition between delightful conversation and decadent amuse-bouche."

At first glance, the set resembles any number of serving sets. It includes six 2.4-oz demitasse cups, six Asian-inspired soup spoons and a 21-oz. central serving bowl; all of which rest on a 15.7-inch by 11.8-inch by 0.7-inch wood block sourced from a rubber tree.

As is the case with many of Aava’s elegant products, the Amuse-Bouche Serving Set features a design which reflects an aspect of nature.

“When you look at our amuse-bouche set from above, you’ll see that the cups, serving spoons, bowl and base look exactly like a snowflake,” the Aava spokesperson said. “And like the way that no two snowflakes are alike, our serving set is truly unique among a landscape of pedestrian serving sets.”

The snowflake-inspired form is a fitting backdrop for the cuisine for which the set was made. Amuse-bouche, a smaller version of hors d’oeuvres, are by nature a delicate culinary entity, often falling on the palate with the same gentleness as a mid-winter snowfall.

Often a communal event, eating amuse-bouche is made easy by the six demitasse cups and six spoons found in the 14-piece set. The wooden block features a handle that makes transporting the evening’s culinary surprises an easy task.

“Whether you’re planning a creative evening of fun and food, or you just want a simple night with discerning guests,” the Aava spokesperson said, “our set will provide the perfect way to transition between delightful conversation and decadent amuse-bouche.”

While the name of the 14-piece set bears the moniker of bite-sized French cuisine, the product can also be used for a lively night of Spanish tapas, Aava said.

“We’re very aware of our customers’ desires for cookware and serving wares which not only function well, but impress,” the Aava spokesperson said. “Our amuse-bouche set will leave a memorable impression on your guests.”

The company’s hors d’oeuvres-sized serving set is the second food-focused product release of the week. Aava also announced recently the debut of its Ellipse Wooden Serving Platter.

Representatives from the company noted that the products share the same rustic, well-designed appearance and pair well for any serious home cook.

According to Aava, the 14-Piece Amuse-Bouche Serving Set can be purchased on the Aava website for $329.
