Amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, Dance is Not Canceled

Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) moves forward with virtual Interactive and On Demand class access.

In the midst of COVID-19, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) is committed to creatively move forward with innovative ways for dancers to continue perfecting their craft. Adapting to the present times and adhering to CDC guidelines, DADA made a quick pivot; offering their world-renowned dance classes VIRTUALLY. In the midst of the pandemic, DADA held a successful Summer Intensive program, Early Bird Summer Camp, LA Tap Fest, Global Dance Series, and produced the academy’s very first Virtual Dance Concert with the help of Video On-Demand and Zoom. Adding to the virtual experiences, Debbie Allen and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy are excited to announce the 2020-2021 season.

“This fall, with very strict COVID-19 protocols, we hope to engage in select classes on-site. Our schedule promises to offer VOD and Zoom classes. Mandy Moore, Marguerite Derricks, Travis Wall, Jason Samuels Smith and Savion Glover are just a few of our favorites we will welcome as guest faculty. Mr. Norman Nixon has forged the leadership needed to start construction on our new state of the art facility, The Rhimes Center for the Performing Arts, that will house The Debbie Allen Dance Academy. I am beyond excited that DADA has not dropped the ball for one second during this very difficult time and I thank all of you for your support and understanding.” – Debbie Allen

The Fall Semester will begin Sept. 8, 2020. The virtual dance classes are tailored for adults and children of all skill levels in a variety of dance styles including Jazz, Tap, Flamenco, African and more. To register please email Sarah@DebbieAllenDanceAcademy.com or call (310) 280-9145.
