The LG Axis, released on the Alltel network, is one of LG's first Android phones. Designed for users on a budget, it still has features that are usually only available on mid to high range phones. Pocket friendly, the Axis is 4.56 x 2.22 inches and even though it's .62 inches thick, that's definitely still slim enough to comfortably hold or slip into a pocket, purse, bag or briefcase. This is impressive because it has a landscape slide-out 4 row QWERTY keypad. The keypad has a dedicated number row on the top, increasing the ease of messaging, emailing and web browsing. The D-pad on the right side is very comfortable to use and the keys are a great size and spaced so users can type easily and accurately. If a user wants a digital keypad, the Android keyboard is preinstalled.

The display is a 3.2 inch TFT LCD screen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The result is bright colors, crisp lines and good viewing angles. The Axis comes with Android 2.1, a 600 MHz ARM11 processor, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. This is plenty of power to run any app. The Axis comes with all standard smart phone features: Bluetooth 2.1, GPS with Google Maps, Google Services, ThinkFree Office Suite, standard 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB port and a multimedia player. The 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and video capture is located on the back. The camera has plenty of editing options, including autofocus. The pictures are great and the 640x480 video resolution is a great way to capture any moment. With 102MB of internal memory and an external memory card slot that supports up to a 16GB card, there's plenty of room for any pictures, videos, or apps.

Keep the Axis charged at all times, even when you're somewhere with no power, with an external battery pack. Great for users who travel or spend time outdoors, or individuals who frequently find themselves with a dead battery, external battery packs have enough power to completely recharge a dead battery and have some power left over. External battery packs are easy to recharge on either a wall outlet or with a microUSB cable. Some packs comes with a variety of charging adapters, so they are extremely versatile accessories.

Connect wirelessly to the Axis with a Bluetooth headset or a speakerphone. The LG HBM-810 Solar Powered Headset is a great product because it is a combination headset and speakerphone. Because it's solar powered, it is extraordinarily easy and convenient to recharge - just leave it in the sun. Features include:
Support for A2Dp
Voice dialing
Caller ID announcement
Dual microphones
Noise reduction
Echo cancellation
Multipoint technology for pairing with two devices at the same time
