Radio Lollipop, a unique, international, charitable organization founded over 25 years ago provides entertainment and stimulation to children in hospitals through its' in-hospital radio stations. The radio stations are run strictly by volunteers and are made up of children's programming including some portions run by children themselves. The volunteer deejays take call-in requests and put children "on air" to actively participate in the show. Radio Lollipop reaches over a half million children per year through its 18 stations operating in Children's hospitals throughout the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

In August, 1996, Miami Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida became the first hospital in the United States to host Radio Lollipop. Power 96 WPOW, a Miami-based FM radio station, broadcasted a 36-hour Radiothon which culminated on August 12, 2010, asking listeners to donate to the Miami Children's Hospital Radio Lollipop program.

Alliance Communications assisted by staffing its Call Center to answer calls and receive donations for the third year in a row during the 36-hour Radiothon. "A very important part of the Alliance Communications mission is to support our community with most of the charities we participate in benefitting children," says Alliance Communications Managing Director, Cori Bartlett. "We are so proud to be a part of the Radiothon again this year. Each and every staff member is excited to be a part of this and volunteered to work extra hours."
