All new Vauxhall Meriva images

Vauxhall has released the first official pictures of the all-new Meriva mini-MPV, due out in Summer 2009.

New images show the all-new Vauxhall Meriva, the third new model in the revitalized Vauxhall range. The small MPV, which is based on the Corsa supermini, goes on sale in summer 2010 and Vauxhall car-buying VauxhallQuotes.co.uk is expecting strong interest.

The Meriva is the latest new model from a resurgent Vauxhall, following the success of the all-new Astra and the Insignia. The latter was named European Car of the Year for 2009.

While the Meriva is based on the same platform as the Corsa supermini, it features increased interior space and new features to improve accessibility and practicality. Rear-hinged Flex Door back doors improve access by swinging open towards the back of the car at an angle of nearly 90 degrees, making it easier for occupants to enter and leave the cabin.

Styling on the all-new Meriva is also reminiscent to the all-new Astra and Insignia, featuring the side-panel blade and a new grille. Six turbocharged units with power ranging from 74bhpÃ138bhp reduce average fuel consumption and CO2 by 15 per cent, says Vauxhall, which equates to 25g/km across the range.

An eco FLEX Meriva will also be available in the future Vauxhall eco FLEX models boast lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, with associated lower running costs.
The all-new Meriva will go on sale in the UK from summer 2010, replacing the outgoing Meriva.
