All Employees At Ophthalmology Associates Are Participating In "Walk the Island" Fitness Challenge

All employees at Ophthalmology Associates have been participating in "Walk the Island" fitness challenge. And at this fitness event people are wearing pedometers and funny t-shirts on Fridays.

Fort Worth, Texas - All employees at Ophthalmology Associates have been participating in "Walk the Island" fitness challenge. And at this fitness event people are wearing pedometers and funny t-shirts on Fridays.

Ophthalmology Associates is a team of experienced and expert physicians who offer various eye treatments including eye lasik surgery in Fort Worth, Hurst, Granbury, Weatherford, and surrounding areas of Texas for more than 40 years. Every staff-member at Ophthalmology Associates is a board-certified ophthalmologist and optometrist providing subspecialty and comprehensive eye care services. And to build healthy relationships between their doctors and staff members, Ophthalmology Associates took part in a Hilo, Hawaii fitness challenge.

Over 125 staff member from the company have signed up to "Walk the Island" fitness challenge of Hilo, Hawaii. Twelve teams headed up by one of the Ophthalmology Associates' doctors will be competing against each other. At this fitness event, Ophthalmology Associates' doctors will be wearing a pedometer and log their steps on an on-line portal every day. In doing so, it maps their journey around the island. Their main objective by taking part in "Walk the Island" fitness challenge is to help their health and to get involved with other people in the company.

Dr Flowers, an expert and experienced ophthalmologist of Ophthalmology Associates says that taking part in the 'Walk the Island' fitness challenge not only helped their health but also put them in a position to be involved with people in the office they don't always see. This will let our current and future patients see that we do things outside the normal routine of daily office visits to build healthy relationships between our doctors and staff members.

Cary L. Burton, M.D. at Ophthalmology Associates says that "Our office has not only accepted, but conquered the Walk the Island Step Challenge logging over 38 million steps since March 20th!"
