Aledade Named One of the 2020 Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma by Great Place to Work® and Fortune

Great Place to Work and Fortune have honored Aledade as one of the Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma for the second consecutive year. The ranking is representing nearly 800,000 employees working in the Health Care & Biopharma industries in the United States. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. Aledade took the 11th spot on the list.

“Aledade’s mission is to empower independent, primary care practices across the country, and that mission inspires the people who work here every day,” said Farzad Mostashari, MD, CEO and Co-Founder of Aledade. “It also unites us, reminding us that our commitment to our partner practices, and our commitment to each other, will continue to stand firm in good times and especially challenging ones.”

The Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma stand out for excelling in one of the nation’s most competitive marketplaces. Aledade has continued to grow rapidly and has instituted a series of company-wide initiatives aimed at strengthening the company’s culture and values (Service, Grit, and Inclusion) as it scales, and as the nation responds to the outbreak of COVID19. These initiatives include tuition assistance, two days of paid leave each year for volunteer activities, and a workplace that supports work-life balance through generous paid parental leave and a flexible work environment. During the outbreak of COVID-19, Aledade has adapted quickly to changing circumstances, turning our all-staff retreat, an annual gathering that brings together employees from 42 states, into a virtual retreat to maintain both social distancing and team building. Aledade has also found ways to ensure that all Aledade team members can work remotely and stay physically healthy by securing masks and hand sanitizer for staff, as well as mentally healthy through flexible work schedules and a free and confidential counseling service.

“Health care & biopharma companies are crucial to helping our country through the current COVID-19 health crisis, where employees put their own health on the line to take care of others,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Companies on this list have built a high level of trust with their people that will serve them well as they take care of employees and their families during a period of incredible stress, as well as the communities in which they operate.”

The Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations. Previously, Aledade ranked fifth on FORTUNE’s Best Workplace in Health Care in 2019, was named a Top 50 workplace of its size by FORTUNE and Great Place to Work in 2019, and was named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2018.
