Advocacy Worksop For NGOs

Online, October 4, 2010 (Newswire.com) - CSO Partners, an NGO committed to strengthening civil society organizations, is organizing a series of workshops to help nearly 150 NGOs upgrade their perspectives and skills on policy advocacy and understanding the Parliamentary System, procedures and other areas of engagement.

The workshops are designed to enable civil society organizations to leverage parliamentary procedure and get their issues and concerns raised in Parliament and State Assemblies. They will be equipped with information sources to track the activity of their Legislators with respect to local issues and also with strategies for engaging MPs/ MLAs effectively.

Organised in collaboration with PRS Legislative Research, a not-for-profit research organization at the Centre for Policy Research, Delhi, the workshop will be organized in 5 cities:

Pune - 13th Oct, 2010
Hyderabad - 19th Oct, 2010
Kolkata - 15th Dec, 2010
Bhuvaneshwar - 17th Dec, 2010
Bangalore - 21st Dec, 2010

At the end of the workshop, the participants would develop an action plan to engage with parliamentarians and legislators in their respective operational areas.
