The Bean Automotive Group is a true lover of the arts. Just ask the Actors’ Playhouse, a longtime benefactor of Bean’s generosity and support. Last month, the non-profit organization, which calls the Miracle Theater in Coral Gables home base, honored Bean with a special plaque presentation for its part in raising $185,000 this year and tens of thousands in years past at the 27th Annual Reach for the Stars Gala Auction

More than 600 guests enjoyed the Actors’ Playhouse’s signature “Oh What a Night! event, which featured food sponsored by more than 30 area restaurants, a full liquor bar, plus complimentary wine and champagne. Also, hundreds of live and silent auction items were donated to help raise funds for augmenting theater operations and providing educational and cultural enrichment to thousands of children each year. Lexus of Kendall contributed a one-year lease of a 2018 RX 350 valued at $7,000.

The Actors' Playhouse tradition of sponsoring children, giving back to and entertaining the community is truly an inspiration to me.

“The Actors’ Playhouse tradition of sponsoring children, giving back to and entertaining the community is truly an inspiration to me,” says Bean Automotive Group Dealer Principal Lori Bean.

The celebrity guest auctioneer for the 27th year in a row was long-time TV news anchor and weather reporter Bob Soper, who was joined by Actors' Playhouse Artistic Director David Arisco. Some other notable prizes up for auction were: a three-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa; a weekend getaway at the Biltmore Hotel’s Everglades Penthouse Suite; a luxury cruise aboard an Azamara vessel; and a hotel/airfare package for a trip to Taipei, Taiwan, for two aboard Eva Air and at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo.

The late Gerald Bean founded Bean Automotive in 1969. The automotive group now encompasses four car dealerships – Lexus of Kendall, West Kendall Toyota, Lexus of West Kendall and Kendall Toyota –  and the Kendall Collision Center. Bean strives to deliver on every customer’s expectation, one customer at a time, and their vision is to be the leading automotive group within the industry, serving customers, associates and communities.
