With an increasing level of cautious optimism, mid-market CFOs and CHROs are shifting their focus to revenue rebound for the second half of 2020

AchieveNEXT, a leading provider of Peer Advisory Networks and Solutions for emerging and mid-market leaders and their enterprises, released its 2020 Mid-Year Update to CFO-CHRO Sentiment, to provide peer insights into strategic planning, financial outlook, and objectives for the remainder of 2020.  

In July, AchieveNEXT surveyed a cross-section of U.S.-based emerging and mid-market CFOs and CHROs about their enterprises’ current and projected financial outlook, with particular focus on business strategy, people, technology and risk.

While the survey results confirmed significant financial impact from COVID-19 in the first half of 2020, they also revealed a consistent and cautious optimism for business re-entry and revenue rebound despite ongoing health, safety and financial concerns.

Finance and HR leaders are increasingly focused on how to maximize time and budget, with an emphasis on enterprise agility and a laser-like understanding of employee and customer needs in a changing and often volatile landscape.

Though a majority of those surveyed said they had made budget cuts to help their companies navigate through the crisis, most see opportunities to regain revenue in the remaining months of 2020.  Agility and efficiency will be key to successful rebounds.

There is also a keen understanding of 2020’s unique landscape: leading a shell-shocked workforce that must sell and deliver products and services to current and prospective clients while maintaining social distancing and taking new health and safety measures.
