ACG Hosts Workplace Litigation Presentation with Labor Law Attorney Chris Boman

Legal Counselor to Fortune 500 Companies to Discuss New Realities in Employment Law Including Best Policies to Protect Against Class Action Lawsuits

The Association for Corporate Growth Orange County chapter (ACG OC) will host, "Fighting Class Action Trolls: What Business Owners and Service Providers Need to Know about New Realities in Employment Law," featuring Christopher Boman, Partner at Fisher & Phillips LLP. The event will take place on Thursday, November 14th, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. at SingerLewak University Room at 2050 Main Street, 7th floor, in Irvine.

"Fighting Class Action Trolls" is part of the ACG OC's Academy Event Series, which gives Orange County professionals the opportunity to network and learn in a relaxed and informal setting. The event will address best policies to protect against and help navigate the complex area of class action lawsuits. Attendees will learn about the steps and policies to put into place to avoid costly litigation issues. In addition, a discussion will be held on the new wave of labor laws expected to occur in 2014.

Boman is a partner in the Irvine, Calif. office of Fisher & Phillips LLP, one of the largest national law firms in the field of labor and employment law. His practice is focused on defending employment related lawsuits and administrative complaints on a variety of issues, including harassment, retaliation, and discrimination, workplace violence, employee discipline and termination, and wage & hour, including prevailing wage issues. Boman provides compliance and liability prevention training, and is a frequent speaker for trade groups and associations as well as private employers. He has been included in Southern California Super Lawyers - Rising Stars since 2005.
