Access Media 3 Appoints New Technology Leadership
Online, December 15, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Triple-play media provider Access Media 3 ("AM3") has appointed Vito Caragiulo as Vice President of Technology and Product Development. In this role, Caragiulo will be responsible for the development and evaluation of all AM3 technologies and network infrastructure, including design specifications, processes and procedures. AM3, based in Oak Brook, Illinois, delivers bundled TV, internet and voice service to multi-dwelling unit properties to almost 50,000 subscribers in over 400 MDU properties in Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul, South Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington DC.
In his new role at AM3, Caragiulo will oversee emerging technologies for media delivery. He will work directly with vendors in the development of new technology to insure that they will serve AM3 and its customers in the most effective ways possible. Prior to joining AM3, Caragiulo held an array of diverse Engineering and Operations leadership roles. Most recently, as VP of RF and Data Networks, Network Operations & Wi-Fi, he designed and managed the largest Wi-Fi deployment in North America in addition to being responsible for the entire Cablevision commercial IP and transport infrastructure and tiers 2 & 3 technical support. He also served as VP of Corporate Engineering and Technology for Cablevision Systems, where he managed a large team of ideation and engineering professionals at the dawn of the broadband revolution.
Additionally, he served as VP of Engineering and Operations for Cablevision Lightpath, where he directed the day-to-day engineering and operations of Cablevision's enterprise-centric and fiber-rich competitive local exchange carrier. As VP of Outside Plant, Construction, Rebuild & Design, Caragiulo oversaw Cablevision's entire CATV physical infrastructure and critical multi-year bandwidth expansion projects to support enhanced services.
